Challenge
For a UI Interface class project, we were asked to redesign the Flixster app for mobile.
Process
To start the project, I did some comparative analysis of the current Flixster app, AMC Theatres and Fandango. I then conducted some user interviews to understand the context of when they’d use a mobile app to buy their movie tickets, their pain points, and the features they value.
Deliverables
From the research, I created a low fidelity prototype and conducted user testing to validate the flow. Based on those insights, I created a high fidelity mockup and translated that into a high fidelity prototype using InVision.
Outcomes
I was able to create a proof of concept redesign that kept the customers at the center of the design process. It also helped me understand more about incorporating accessibility into design.
