Arts at the Armory is a non-profit community arts center that also runs a cafe and farmstand in the historic armory building in Somerville, Mass.
As the pandemic led to lockdowns, the Arts at the Armory had been in the midst of a rebrand and relaunch of their cafe.
Working with the Arts at the Armory Executive Director and team, I helped them expand their business model to include online ordering for their cafe and farmstand.
I conducted a comparative analysis and evaluated different options including WordPress and Toast. I spoke with the team to understand the tools they use and the current processes. I determined the best option would be to use Square since it was going to be used as their point of sale system.
I helped implement their online ordering functionality and created the online ordering website through Square. I took pictures and created the images for the mastheads of this site.
The team was able to host a successful relaunch and rebrand. I helped them establish online ordering for a minimal additional cost. With an integration to their existing system, the setup for online ordering was much easier and the staff didn’t have to learn a new system which could have further delayed the relaunch.
